March 18, 2016, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and IKEA jointly announced on Chinese-made floor lamps and table lamps voluntary recall.
The recalled products English name: Gothem floor and table lamps, is the appearance of a nickel-plated floor lamp and table lamp with a dimmable switch. Floor lamp 49 inches high, 14-18 inches tall lamp, printed with "Gothem" and the IKEA trademark label on the base of each lamp. The product in October 2015 --2016 in February US IKEA store and online sales, about $ 20-50 / month.
The recalled products sold in the US number about 30,600. Hazard: cable lamp in the production process may be damaged, causing the user may come into contact with live metal parts of the lamp, there is a risk of electric shock.
